Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) - Get this filed ASAP every year. Indiana's deadline is early March each year. This is needed for any financial aid for college. In order to complete the FAFSA form, your taxes should be done. Usually ready mid-December for the following school year.

Student-athletes can register at National Recruiting Network for free.
