Trailing 8-2 in the seventh, the first three Cardinals hitters walked. Ben Horvath (2-for-3, 2 RBI) and Jon Hopman then sandwiched run-scoring singles around an RBI fielder's choice by Brett Bennick to trim Eisenhower's deficit to 8-5.
After Jose Loera walked to load the bases, Rob Easton (2-for-4, 3 RBI) crushed a bases-clearing triple to deep center field to tie the game at 8.
